We had breakfast at Kellys Kitchen twice. The first time we only had a traditional English breakfast, which was completely the usual, delicious food. It was also good value for money. The second time we were more adventurous, we tried the omelette and the American pancakes with forest fruits. Although the omelette was packed with everything (mushrooms, tomatoes, sausage, bacon, spinach), all you could feel was that the spinach was bitter, and besides that it was completely tasteless. The pancakes would have been delicious, but the frozen wet fruit mixed with the maple syrup gave a really fermented taste and soaked the whole pancake, making the food taste bad. Hence the three stars. The coffee and milk shake were delicious.

Plenty of places to eat in Christchurch but thoroughly recommend Kelly’s Kitchen for a Big Breakfast or a full English currently offering half price breakfasts before 11am.
